Herman and Margaret Bremer lived across the road from ICS for most of their lives and they were actively involved in Immanuel Christian School. They didn’t have any children, so the students and staff of ICS became the recipients of their time, love, and generosity. Herman’s life was challenging because of physical limitations but he did not give up. He exemplified True Grit as is described in the Grade 8 award and it would probably have been an award he would have received. He showed persistence and resilience in every aspect of his life.
The Bremer Memorial Scholarship was set up to bless graduates of ICS who pursue post-secondary education.
